Cobra Triangle é um jogo de corrida de barco para um jogador que permite fazer mais do que correr. Ele empresta o sistema de inicialização do gênero shoot'em up, mas mantém a ênfase mais nas manobras do que no tiro. Como você tem um medidor de saúde com uma dúzia de barras, não é tão importante esquivar-se de balas, a menos que sua saúde esteja realmente baixa, mas você deve tentar não colidir com paredes demais. Para ir muito longe, você precisa usar seus power-ups que são TURBO para uma melhor aceleração; FOGO por maior poder de fogo; VELOCIDADE para maior velocidade máxima; MISSILE para disparar mísseis e balas; e FORCE, que faz você disparar toneladas de mísseis e também invencível por um tempo limitado. Você tem aproximadamente um minuto para completar cada nível. Falando nisso, existem 7 tipos de níveis, cada um com um objetivo diferente:
