A terceira parte de Wizards & Warriors para o NES divulga durante a introdução que o malvado mago Malkil não foi realmente vencido no final do segundo jogo. De fato, após a poderosa batalha com o herói Kuros, Malkil retirou-se para um reino de castelo independente nas proximidades e conduziu uma aquisição hostil. Kuros entra em cena e deve tentar aliviar Malkil de seu domínio ilícito do reino, de seus súditos e, principalmente, de suas princesas.
